Dr. Andrew Barry Moore, son of Charles and Mary Moore, was born at Walnut Grove Plantation in 1771. Dr. A.B. Moore is known to be one of the first college educated physicians in Spartanburg County. He practiced on his family plantation until the 1840’s. He passed away in 1848 and can also be found in the family cemetery
